The Science City Bristol team, partners and community are working together to make Bristol, Bath and the surrounding areas even more widely known as a global hotspot for science and technology skills and business. Below is an overview of the activities undertaken by Science City Bristol.

BEN

The BEN Network is the membership organisation of Science City Bristol Ltd. The advantages of joining BEN are:

  • Business to business networking
  • Useful information specific for sci/tech businesses in the Bristol region
  • Personal introductions to other members of our large, high quality network
  • Advice, support and signposting for businesses in science and technology in the Bristol region

    • Venturefest

    Venturefest Bristol was held for the first time on 3rd November 201 at SPark.

    It was an opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors to meet each other, roll up their sleeves and make things happen. It is the event for stimulating new business by turning ideas into reality, bringing emerging technology business ideas together with sources of funding and support in a relaxed and positive atmosphere. Planning for Venturefest 2012 is now underway.

    Science City Bristol tell the Bristol story by showcasing Bristol Science and Technology strengths: Through website and connections we shout about the great opportunities in Bristol.

    We are building a catalogue of case studies, showing how and why companies have been established and grown in the west country.

    We will work with the media and inward investment teams to make sure that the innovation successes are showcased both in the Bristol region and to the rest of the world.

    Strategic Engagement

    imageScience City Bristol engages with people across the whole science, technology and business community, and brings them together to stimulate activity and the economy.

    The Science City Bristol Advisory Board has represented the Bristol region at a National Level, encouraging policy makers and funders to focus on the Bristol region. The Advisory group has hosted a number of conferences in the region which have attracted international, keynotes and government ministers.
