This BEN networking event will explore the area of building value for a business and increasing income through leveraging IP.

There will be time for networking with fellow businesspeople, and one-to-one consultations with experts in the field.

Matthew Howell 

Matthew Howell is a partner at Withers & Rogers LLP, one of Europe’s leading firms of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys.

As a UK and European Patent Attorney Matthew helps clients ranging from individual inventors to large multinationals to identify and protect their Intellectual Property (IP), and advises on how to exploit IP rights to maximise their commercial benefit.

In this talk Matthew will outline the main IP rights, and discuss different exploitation models that can be used to make money from IP.

 

Alex Hall - Senior Solicitor in IP Team -  Veale Wasbrough Vizards                

Alex has great experience of getting good commercial deals on IP transactions.  He brings a wealth of helpful knowledge to share. 

 

 

Terence Cosgrove - Chief Scientific Officer - Revolymer

 Terrence Cosgrove

Terence Cosgrove is a director of Revolymer®, co-founder and the company's Chief Scientific Officer. He developed the technology which underpins Revolymer® R&D and its products in his role as Leverhulme Professor of Chemistry at the University of Bristol. Terence is a world expert in polymer chemistry and his research is centered on the science of how polymers stick to surfaces. He is the author of over 250 papers, books and patents.
